EuclidIQ Makes Streaming Media Top 100

For the second year in a row, EuclidIQ has earned a spot on the 2016 Streaming Media 100 list which was announced today. The 100 list, published annually by, includes influential streaming technology companies.

“While the big streaming services and tentpole events get all the attention technology creators and partners often toil behind the scenes to make it all happen. The Streaming Media 100 is our annual attempt to shine the spotlight on the companies that enable the creation and delivery of all of that amazing content,” says Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, editor of Streaming Media. “These companies are the ones that our editors and contributors have determined to be the cream of the crop—the most important, most innovative, and most influential companies providing streaming and OTT technologies, products, and services. EuclidIQ will be attending the Streaming Media West conference on November 1st and 2nd and can be found in booth 216. During this conference two new products will be showcased, and uptiiQ, both powered by IQ264. These products will finally bring the ability for any content provider to stream and share video while preserving the way the video looks.

IQ264 reduces streaming video network costs and improves the quality of video for end users. It does this by applying perceptual quality optimization to produce improved, standards-compliant H.264 encoding. Perceptual quality optimization (PQO) considers the way the human visual system (HVS) process video and integrates such considerations into the video encoding process. IQ264 is not a preprocessing or postprocessing technique but an encoding technique that provides bandwidth savings on average of 25%.
